Refine Studio offers strategic, design, and development services including corporate identity, UI/UX design, design systems, prototypes, and full-stack product development. As part of the in-house creative team (or as external motion designer working for them), I was tasked with enhancing their website through thoughtful motion design. The goal was to create an online experience that accurately reflects the studio’s values — clarity, refinement, innovation — while demonstrating technical craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Challenge
The original site risked looking static or generic, which could undermine a design studio’s promise of creativity and high standards. The studio’s services span strategy, branding, UI design, development — a broad and potentially dry set of offerings. The challenge was to present them in an engaging, modern, and easy-to-digest way. The site needed to balance professionalism and sophistication (to appeal to clients seeking serious work) with creative flair (to reflect the studio’s design identity). Performance and responsiveness had to be preserved — animations had to run smoothly on web without compromising load times or usability.
The Solution
I designed lightweight, loop-ready Rive animations that blend seamlessly with the website’s minimal aesthetic. Each motion was built to feel smooth, intuitive, and responsive, enhancing the brand’s modern, refined identity.
